We are super excited to announce the launch of on-chain unlockables powered by Darkblock, a decentralized protocol layer that works by attaching an encrypted asset to an existing NFT.
Creators can choose to mint any asset as a darkblock allowing the holder of the NFT to access exclusive locked content available only to the holder. Want to provide a special NFT to your collectors? You can, now!
It’s simple:
In the ‘Create’ tab, toggle the ‘Mint a Darkblock’ to the right.
Choose the file to upload and encrypt. (This will be the locked content accessible only to the NFT holder)
Upload a cover photo. This is the preview of the NFT available for viewing on the marketplace. All the unlockable content is stored on Arweave forever protected by Darkblock encryption.Darkblocks can only be decrypted and displayed by the NFT owner.
To unlock a minted Darkblock after collecting a locked NFT.
Just click on ‘Unlock’ and you will see the Darkblock embedded for you to authenticate ownership
Once the ownership is authenticated, you can view the locked content.
